Red Dead Redemption 2 Will Have “Incredible Emotional Depth”, Says Take-Two CEO
Fans of the Red Dead franchise got excited as soon as hints about the next game in the franchise started to drop. Soon after Rockstar Games officially revealed the Red Dead Redemption 2, and since then the developer has been revealing new details about the game every now and then.
At an MKM Partners event, Take-Two CEO talked about the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2. During the event he revealed that the announcement trailer for the game got more views then what the company was expecting. He further added that “anticipation is enormous” for the sequel.
He also added that it is the right time to release Red Dead Redemption 2 as back in 2010 the timing was right for Red Dead Redemption.
The conventional wisdom was of course that a western wouldn’t work. We took a different point of view, which is that very occasionally westerns capture the imagination of the public. When we launched Red Dead, it did. And those times were right for that. And I think the times are right for a big, sprawling, optimistic view of America again–and that’s not meant to be cute.
He added that Red Dead Redemption 2 will have “incredible emotional depth” to the story and players can expect great story elements.

With the reveal of Nintendo Switch many fans are itching to find out which third party games will be available for the console. However, the chances of Red Dead Redemption 2 launching for the console are extremely slim.
According to industry analyst Michael Pachter, the chances of Red Dead Redemption 2 Nintendo Switch version ever being a possibility are highly unlikely given the past history of Rockstar releases on Nintendo platforms.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently in development at Rockstar Games and will launch in fall 2017 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
