For the purpose of this guide, I have barely touched the storyline of the side operations to keep things as spoiler-free as possible.

Watch Dogs 2 Side Operations Guide

In the Watch Dogs 2 Side Operations Guide, we have detailed everything you need to know to complete Haum Intruder, Rodentia Academy, Whistleblower, and Kickin’ It Old School.

Haum Intruder Side Operation

This operation automatically starts after you complete Haum Sweet Haum and accumulate 425,000 followers. Once it begins, head to Sausalito in Marin and find the target’s apartment.

Once you are there, either head in yourself or use the RC Jumper to unlock the ctOS box placed on the roof. Once you have access to his office, disrupt his conversation, play loud music, and replay his old conversations.

This should be more than enough to freak him out and complete the operation.

Rodentia Academy

This operation automatically starts after you complete Main Operation: Looking Glass and accumulate 975,000 or more followers. After starting the operation, you need to meet up with a DedSec follower located near MOMA who fills you in about the entire operation.

The next thing that you need to do is to find three rat-masked anarchists in the area. The first one is found inside a small loading bay near the SFMOMA building. The second one is located outside an art gallery with the checkerboard floor – near the stairs. The final one is found on a rooftop near the alleys behind the SFMOMA building.

There are enemies near the final anarchist so be careful in the area. Once you are done, you should get the Key Data behind the van parked in an open blue container. Your objective, however, is located on a lower rooftop near the northern edge of the restricted area, right next to the blue graffiti – try to hack it remotely.

From there, you need to head over to the Bayview Rise, south San Francisco and access the Rodentia Academy HQ. The ctOS box that you need to unlock is located on a lower rooftop near some metal containers. It can also be done using the RC Jumper.

Once you are inside, take a look at the area and hack the server to continue the operation. Your final job is to destroy a total of four Rodentia Academy’s gear. In order to do this, you need to head inside the warehouse two blocks north-west of South Park in San Francisco. This should allow you to conclude the operation.

Whistleblower Side Operation

This operation automatically starts after you complete Infected Bytes and Stolen Signals. Once the operation starts, trail the whistleblower and investigate both his home and bank. You can do this in any order you prefer.

If you decide to access his home first, you must access the rooftop which requires a bit of work. In order to unlock the ctOS box located on the rooftop, you need to make use of the lift located nearby and use it to gain some altitude.

Once you are inside, use the kitchen camera in order to hack the laptop placed in the kitchen. Once you are done, head over to his bank.

When it comes to his bank, you need to access the ctOS box via scissor lift located near the Laundromat. Once you are in, cycle through the cameras until you get to an employee with his back turned towards you. You basically need to hack the desktop PC placed right next to the man.

Once you are done with all the previous steps, you need to head over to the Symphony Hall and find unlock the ctOS box located in the south-west corner of the area. As soon as you are in, hack the laptop placed near the whistleblower followed by hacking his phone.

This should allow you to save a life and conclude the operation.

Kickin’ It Old School Side Operation

This operation automatically starts after you complete the Whistleblower. Once it starts, you need to head over to the Gate Houseboat in eastern Sausalito in Marin. Your job is to hack a jammer placed on a pole.

Like always, you can use the NetHack in order to make things a little easier for yourself. After hacking the jammer, you need to hack the answering machine in order to continue the operation.

From there, you must track two targets. One of them is located at the Apartment Complex on the north side of Sausalito and another one is located near the same area, on block north-east of the restaurant.

Once you have successfully tracked both the targets, you need to head over to the Vista Point, near the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge to find another target. You should be able to locate the target near the t-shirt stall at Vista Point.

From there, all that is left for you to do is to wipe out the family’s record, but in order to do so, you need to access the gang hideout overlooking the north-west edge of Kirby Cave in Marin.
