Watch Dogs 2 Side Operations Guide to help you complete Ghost Signals, Infected Bytes, High Price to Pay, and The Name Game in the game.
There are a total of 22 Side Operations in the game. The operations vary in difficulty and length. While some of them simply consist of carrying out a simple hack, others require in-depth investigations.
For the purpose of this guide, I have barely touched the storyline of the side operations to keep things as spoiler-free as possible.

Watch Dogs 2 Side Operations Guide
In the Watch Dogs 2 Side Operations Guide, we have detailed everything you need to know to complete Ghost Signals, Infected Bytes, High Price to Pay, and The Name Game.
Ghost Signals Side Operation
For the side operation, you need to locate one of three speakers located near the Golden Gate Bridge. You can find the locations of all three after the break.
The first one is located on the white warehouse next to the parking lot on the north side of the Palace of Fine Arts. The second one is located on a warehouse on the west side of the Palace of Fine Arts and north side of HMP Studios. The final one is found is located on a mansion on the west side of Hook Motion Picture Studios.
Once done, hack a chat about 52-hertz whale which should provide you more information regarding the broadcaster. Head to Fort Point and interact with 52-hertz near the north-west edge of the inner side. It should trigger a puzzle which is relatively simple and very fun to solve.
Once you are out, you will have to use your Quadcopter in order to track a total of six signals back to its origin.

- On the White House Near the Cemetery
- Directly behind America’s Flag hoisted near the Area
- Under the Golden Gate Bridge, Directly below a Lamppost
- From the Western Edge of Fort Point Rooftop, Look at the Bridge
- Near Red-and-Earth color Building, Right Next to Some Wooden Planks
Once you have found the sixth signal, find the nearby ctOS box and hack it to complete the operation.
Infected Bytes Side Operation
Similar to other side operations, you only need to find one of three possible operation starters. The first one is found under the gas station board located near the homeless camp near Mission Dolores and South Parks.
The second one is found right outside Café Baroque and the final one is standing directly above the Axle Boardshop. Once you are done with the hack, you should be able to proceed the operation.
For the next step, you need to hack into three infected phones using your RC Jumper. The first one is found on the north side of the Axle Boardshop, in an office plaza. The second one is found on the rooftop of the clock tower and find the final one is found on the rooftop of a brick building, two blocks south-east of the Transbay Company.
Once you are done with all the hacking, head over to the final location – I recommend stealth – using your disruption/distract hacks at ready and get in/out clean.
High Price to Pay Side Operation
For this operation, you need to complete Main Operation – A Walk in the Park. After starting the mission, head over to Bobo’s mansion and simply hack the phone without heading indirectly.
From there, follow the waypoint and unlock the ctOS box located outside to gain access. Once you are in, interact with Blume R300 notebook, blume 9600 Turbo Desktop, and Carcani’s smartphone. It is all you need to do in order to complete the operation.
The Name Game Side Operation
For the operation, you need to interact with one of three payphones in San Francisco. The first one is located outside the Karaoke Bar in Japantown.
The second one is located near the hippy shop between Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf. The final one is found near the store of Starter Oil Company Gas in the south side of the Palace of Fine Arts.
Following the previous step, you need to hack a total of three payphones – use the NetHack to make things easier. The first one is found at the top of the winding road in Lombard Street. The second one is located outside the Bakery Shop in Union Square. The final one is located on the north side of the park at Civic Square.
In order to find hack the relay antenna, you need to head two blocks south of the Civic Center Park and use your Quadcopter to hack it – rooftop on which the antenna is located on the opposite side of the flag. It should lead you to Presidio which is at one block east of Palace of Fine Arts.
Once there, head over to the backside and hack the ctOS box right next to the balcony of the blue house. After gaining access, head inside and get the key code from the laptop. Use it to remove the names, read an e-mail, and get out.
For the final objective, you need to hack the transmitter on the tower found in Radio Mast Compound on Yerba Buena Island. Successfully hacking it should allow you to complete the operation.
