Besides Until Dawn PS4 Pro patch, there’s more about the franchise.
Even if fans are asking for a new chapter, we are not going to see Until Dawn 2 anytime soon.
Pete Samuels, the Managing Director of Supermassive Games, has recently announced that the team has other things in mind at the moment and they are not working on a sequel for Until Dawn.
There’s a lot of speculation about what we’re doing and what we’re working on right now. We’re not working on Until Dawn 2 for now. We’re working on other interesting projects. We really want to push to bring those experiences, those cinematic storytelling narrative-driven games, be it horror or not, to other platforms as well. What we achieved with Until Dawn is really amazing, but we as a studio need to move on and try to produce new stuff.
It’s always good to see developers trying to expand a franchise instead of making remasters or nonsense sequels just to make money.
Even if the industry works this way, it doesn’t mean it’s the right one.
Until Dawn is already out for PlayStation 4, while PlayStation 4 Pro is set to launch on November 10, 2016 at the price of $399.
