Dishonored 2 PC Specs Revealed, No High-End PC Required
Considering the drastic change in locale that will be coming in the game, the Dishonored 2 PC specs not requiring any sort of high-end PC might be surprising to people. The game, which goes from the dark and drab cityscape of Dunwall to the bright, colorful, and much more detailed Karnaca, is the sequel to the 2012 stealth game.
The Dishonored 2 PC specs are as follows:
Minimum Specs: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit versions); Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better 8 GB RAM; 60 GB free HDD space; NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB or better Contains a single disc. Download of additional files from Steam is required to run the game. Requires Steam activation.
Recommended Specs: Windows 10 (64-bit versions); Intel Core i7-4770/AMD FX-8350 or better 16 GB RAM; 60 GB free HDD space; NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB/AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB or better Contains a single disc. Download of additional files from Steam is required to run the game. Requires Steam activation.
PC Drivers Required: NVIDIA: 375.70 AMD: 16.10.2
If the Dishonored 2 PC specs are higher than the original Dishonored’s PC requirements the reason is likely because of the much more varied environments that will be in Dishonored 2. The success of the first game allowed Dishonored 2 to go bigger and better, with a larger world that’s more active and colorful.
Karnaca appears to be the sort of thing that can really put the game’s engine through its pacing, with things like dust storms, more AI beyond just guards or plague-ridden zombies or rats, and the bright and colorful cityscape, with its windmills and harbor.
Dishonored 2 will be coming out on November 11, which is next Friday, on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Players will be able to play as either Corvo Attano, the protagonist of the first game, or his daughter, Emily Kaldwell, as they try and take down a sinister force that has overthrown Emily as the Empire of the Isles’s rightful ruler.
