Mass Effect: Andromeda Looks Good, Still Feels Like Mass Effect

Mass Effect Andromeda Deluxe Edition

It’s been around five years since the last Mass Effect game, leaving plenty of time for major Bioware players to go in and out and thus change the studio’s style of development. However, Aaryn Flynn, the vice president of Bioware, has said that Mass Effect: Andromeda still has the same stuff that made the original trilogy special.

We’ve seen very little of any real gameplay for Andromeda; the only official gameplay we’ve seen was put up at the Playstation Meeting several weeks ago, which showed off how the game looks on the Playstation 4 Pro. We’ve seen a number of other bits of cutscene footage, however, even though it doesn’t reveal much either.

However, more Mass Effect: Andromeda information is probably going to be coming around next week, since next Monday will be November 7, also known as N7 Day among BioWare and the Mass Effect fanbase. Bioware has said that the next bit of Andromeda information will be coming out on that day, likely including a release date and more.

Flynn also addressed how the game would look on the Playstation 4 Pro, which was: amazing. While the previous Mass Effect games have looked good, Andromeda appears to look even better for the Playstation 4 Pro, and even for current-gen consoles right now due to its newer engine and the better hardware.

The Playstation 4 Pro will be running games at 4K and with HDR (high-dynamic ranging) as well, so the games are likely to look good on it, especially if we can expect another trilogy of Mass Effect games on it. However, even if you don’t have a TV or display that has HDR capability, Flynn is confident that the game will still look amazing.

Mass Effect: Andromeda might be coming out in March of next year on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
