Delta Force And More Novalogic Franchises Acquired By THQ Nordic
THQ Nordic keeps working on old games as they have acquired Delta Force and more Novalogic franchises, including Comanche, Joint Operations, Armored Fist, Tachyon: The Fringe, F-22 and F-16.
These games were mainly military simulations that gained a lot of attention by the players, eventually becoming strongholds for shooter games.
Well, THQ Nordic can now work on new chapters for these series as Reinhard Pollice, director of business development for the studio, talked about this question.
“NovaLogic almost gave life to military simulations and military-themed multiplayer shooters with vehicular combat and also clearly targeted at an adult audience. We are extremely satisfied with adding these games to portfolio, and also very excited about how to work on the future of said franchises. We are open for talks if any developers are interested in these projects and has some concepts for potential sequels.”
Besides Delta Force and other franchises, how was THQ Nordic Born?
Nordic Games was one of the studios working for THQ years ago, and it worked on some good games like Darksiders 1 & 2. Unfortunately, THQ has been closed down but its logo was acquired by Nordic Games. But that’s not everything.
Nordic Games also acquired some IPs, including Titan Quest, Darksiders, Red Faction, MX vs. ATV, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Juiced, Stuntman, Destroy All Humans!, Deadly Creatures, Full Spectrum Warrior, The Outfit, Summoner, De Blob and they announced they are working on 23 new projects, probably including sequels for the said games.
At the moment of writing we don’t know anything more about these projects, but it would be good to see some THQ IPs again, especially games like Darksiders and Destroy All Humans.
Have you ever played these games? Would you like to see sequels?
