Phil Spencer: Xbox One Scorpio Is Making Great Progress

Xbox One Scorpio is almost a year away from launch and Microsoft has been revealing details about its upcoming console. Now Phil Spencer has provided an update on how the Xbox One Scorpio is coming along.

Given that PlayStation 4 pro launches next month, it does not surprises us that Xbox fans would also want Microsoft to release their powerful console a little early. One Twitter user asked Phil Spencer that is there any chance the console might release early.

To this Phil Spencer responded that he attended a day long meeting with the developers of the console and said that progress is amazing but the console will launch on its schedule.

I’m in a day long review of where the team is on Scorpio right now, amazing progress and we are feeling good about schedule.

Recently, PlayStation 4 Pro’s system architect revealed that while the upgraded console will pack 4.2 TFLOPS under its hood, but can also achieve 8.4 TFLOPS of computational power. To this Microsoft responded with updating their official website for Xbox One Scorpio, where they claimed that Xbox One Scorpio will be the only console capable of true 4K gaming.

PlayStation 4 Pro VS Xbox One Scorpio is a debate that has been going around for quite some time, and Microsoft has never backed down from reminding Sony that their console will be more powerful. According to senior director of product management and planning at Xbox, Albert Penello, Xbox One Scorpio is more feature complete in many aspects compared to PlayStation 4 Pro.
