Dark Souls 3 DLC early download

A Dark Souls 3 DLC early download is now available for Xbox gamers that have the Dark Souls 3 season pass, allowing players to get the Ashes of Ariandel DLC early several days early. The DLC is supposed to be releasing next Tuesday on October 25, but is currently available with no trick required if you have the Xbox season pass.

Ashes of Ariandel is the first DLC for Dark Souls 3, and tells the story of the Ashen One (your player character in the game) entering a similar world to the Painted World of Ariamis from Dark Souls 1.

Players will apparently enter a frozen world inside a painting for an unknown reason, and will be fighting wolves, frozen zombies, and more as they try and work their way towards the DLC’s bosses.

If you’re one of the undead adventurers that wants to make use of the Dark Souls 3 DLC early download, you have to go all the way back to the Cathedral of the Deep, specifically the bonfire in the Cleansing Chapel (that chapel building next to the well where you rescue Siegward after Patches pushes him in). There, an NPC will be waiting for you and will likely give you directions to the DLC.

Considering that Dark Souls 3 came out in March of last year, it’s likely that players will have beaten the game by now and even leveled up even more. Since the Dark Souls DLC packs are normally even more difficult than the actual game, you being at an endgame level will likely help you greatly through the 15 hours the DLC should take.

However, it’s possible that you won’t be able to do the Dark Souls 3 DLC early download; several players have said that they haven’t found the NPC in question after killing every boss in the game. Others, however, have said the opposite, so it may depend on a case-by-case basis.
