Blizzard also mentioned that PTR is likely to stay longer than before. During this time, Blizzard will make sure the game is in solid condition and the changes they made don’t introduce any bugs or issues.

Blizzard posted the following on its official website.

This time around, the PTR is likely to be around a bit longer than before, so we’re taking this opportunity to try out some more significant hero changes, and the push more significant iterations throughout this PTR cycle.

The PTR patch changes you guys see are unlikely to make it through PTR unchanged, unlike previous PTR cycles.

We want to try a bunch of things and see what’s fun and working and iterate more quickly from there. In this way, we get to have you guys involved earlier in the process.

Overwatch PTR update is expected early next week but don’t hold your breath for Symmetra changes with this update. The post mentioned that her changes proved to be much significant and would need more time.

Overwatch is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
