Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 Has Topped 25 Million In Worldwide Sales

Call Of Duty is one of the mega franchises in the game industry and the sales figures for Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 back it up. According to Vgchartz, Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 has sold more than 25 million units at retail.

According to the sales data, Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 has sold 25.18 million units worldwide for the week ending September 17, 2016. Breaking down the sales by platform, the game has sold 14.15 million units on PlayStation 4 which makes 56 percent of the sales, 7.27 million units were sold on the Xbox One that is 29 percent of the total sales, 1.78 million units on PlayStation 3 (7%), 1.75 million units on the Xbox 360 (7%), and 0.23 million units on Windows PC (1%).

Breaking down the sales by region than we have 11.81 million sold in North America which is 47 percent of the total sales, 9.53 million units sold in Europe which makes 38 percent of the sales. The game has sold 0.43 million units in Japan that is 2 percent of the sales and 4.31 million units in the rest of the world (13%).

Compared to other games in the franchise, Call Of Duty Block Ops 3 is at no 5 behind Call Of Duty Ghosts which has 27.37 million units sold.

While the next entry in the franchise, Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare, is set to arrive in November, rumors regarding next years’s Call Of Duty has started to pour in. Now, a rumor is running wild over the internet that Call Of Duty 2017 will be set in Vietnam, meaning Sledgehammer Games might be ditching the futuristic setting.

Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare is scheduled to launch on November 4, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
