Final Fantasy 15 Videos Show Process of Worldbuilding, Game Engine
Since Final Fantasy 15 is still around a month away, Square Enix has decided to release a few videos that show off the game and its development, along with a number of scenes that show off what all the engine has done to make the game’s world feel vibrant and alive.
Players have been able to grab little snippets of how Final Fantasy 15 looks through a variety of small demos, and it looks utterly amazing, but through these Final Fantasy 15 videos we get to see all of the work that goes into it, ranging from creating the car and making sure it drives properly, to making sure that the characters move properly.
And that’s not even getting into all of the various animals that the studio has made during the game’s development. Considering that many Final Fantasy games are relatively open-world, natural vistas are a staple of the newer games, and in a game that’s as big as Final Fantasy 15, the world needs to have plenty of different animals that are not just chocobos, but also a variety of herbivores and carnivores.
Such animals, for instance, became some of the Duscae demo’s most fearsome enemies, if you provoked them, and the demo’s central plot revolved around killing another particular animal, a one-eyed specimen known as a Behemoth that would take a great deal of energy to put down.
The various animals and environments that we will likely be traveling through during the game will help to make the world far more vibrant, and with the wide-open environments we’ll be given access to it’s likely that there will be a wide variety of different Final Fantasy animals that we can watch in the main game.
