Battlefield 1 Rent-a-Server Program is EA Exclusive, Won’t be Available at Launch
Battlefield 1 Rent-a-Server Program is being handled differently compared to previous games. In the past, many third party companies provided servers for rent that allows players to have control over gameplay customizations etc.
However, this time, there won’t be any third-party companies involved. Battlefield 1 Rent-a-Server Program is exclusive to EA so the company will offer server rentals itself. You can use the in-game menu to grab a server and customize it according to your gameplay needs.
Thanks to the customization options you will be able to create unique gameplay experiences with you friends. Unfortunately, Battlefield rent-a-server program won’t be available at launch.
Starting close after launch, you will be able to rent a server through the in-game store of Battlefield 1. In the past, servers were handled by third-party companies – now, EA is providing them directly.
We think this will benefit you in several ways. First off, we will be able to secure the quality of the actual hardware. Since the servers come from the same provider, it will give everyone the same uniform experience. Furthermore, if you have questions or need help, you will be able to reach out to EA Support directly instead of third party support.
On a rented server, players will be able to mess around with server name, map rotation, game mode, various gameplay settings, and more.
Speaking of servers, Battlefield 1 servers will probably avoid another DDoS attack. The beta came under fire and a group promised to DDoS the game again at release. However, a couple of them have been caught and charged.
