New Pokemon Go Update Will Increase The Chances Of Players Catching Rare Pokemon

Pokemon GO was a massive hit with mobile gamers since its launch, but like many great games it also had some issues of its own. One of the most notable issues with the Pokemon GO were its Rare Pokemon, as they are really hard to catch. Niactic has announced that this will not be a problem any more as soon as the new Pokemon Go update hits.

Niantic Labs has announced that with the new Pokemon Go update, a new feature will be added which will increase the odds of catching a rare Pokemon. According to the developer, the medals that will be awarded to players for catching a certain number of type-specific Pokemon which will make Pokemon of the same type much easier to catch.

In simple words if you have already caught a fire type Pokemon, then your odds for catching another fire type Pokemon will increase. However, it is unclear that players will often encounter rare Pokemon or not, or there will be a less chance of them getting away. Checkout the screens for types of medals and catch bonuses players can expect.

However if the Pokemon that players have captured has multiple types, the bonus will be the average for the bonuses of each type.

“If a Pokémon has multiple types, your bonus will be the average of your bonuses for each type. For example, Pidgey is both Normal and Flying type. Your bonus in this case would be the average of your Normal-type and Flying-type bonuses

However, Niantic Labs has not revealed when this Pokemon update will hit the smartphones, and neither confirmed that those players who have already earned these medals will get the catch bonus.
