Mafia 3 PC Version Seems to be Locked at 30 FPS
According to a recent report, it looks like Mafia 3 PC version is locked at 30 frames per second… for now!
PCGamer recently received its Mafia 3 review code and felt the game to be a little sluggish, only to realize that the game is locked to 30 frames per second.
Mafia 3 Locked to 30 FPS
According to the report, even with a GTX 970, 16GB of RAM, and an i5-6600K overclocked to 4.5GHz; the game failed to go past 30 frames per second mark – even at lowest possible settings and 720p resolution. And this continues to happen with in-game v-sync turned off.
I thought maybe my PC just couldn’t handle it, so I shifted down 720p and the lowest graphics settings, but it was still locked to 30. I’m running a GTX 970, an i5-6600K overclocked to 4.5GHz, and 16GB of RAM, which should be more than enough. And it still happens when I disable the in-game vsync option.
2K Games has yet to comment on it and we are not sure whether the game’s scheduled day-1 patch or an upcoming graphics driver update will fix it or not! But for the time being, Mafia 3 PC version is locked at 30 frames per second.
In relevant Mafia 3 news, a user with an early Playstation 4 copy of the game has confirmed that the game indeed has a day-1 patch which weighs in at 2.6 GB in size.
While the user was only able to confirm about the Playstation 4 version, it is highly likely that PC version and Xbox One version will get it as well. To find out more, head over to the post!
Mafia 3 releases on Oct. 07, 2016 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
