Several weeks after Bethesda announced that Fallout 4 PS4 mods would not be coming to the console due to Sony not giving their permission, it would appear that Bethesda has finally gotten through to them. Bethesda has recently announced on their website that mods will be coming to the PS4 soon.

It won’t just be Fallout 4, either; The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim will also be getting the same treatment when the special edition that Bethesda announced back at E3, and both games will also be supported on the Playstation 4 Pro, the 4K capable console that Playstation will be releasing in November.

Fallout 4 PS4 mods will be coming several months after Fallout 4 mods on the Xbox One, which Bethesda released earlier this year as part of a concerted effort to bring mods over to consoles from the PC side of the community.

However, the date for Playstation 4 Fallout 4 mods was pushed back again and again, until finally Bethesda announced that mods would not be coming due to Playstation not giving their permission.

However, now it seems like players on the Playstation 4 will be able to get all of the possible mods that can be transferred over to the Playstation 4 now, rather than having to watch Xbox One players have all the fun.

Bethesda has said that work on the Fallout 4 PS4 mods will be starting as soon as the studio is done working on Skyrim.

In order to download mods for the Playstation 4 version of Fallout 4, players will have to make a Bethesda.net account to browse and try mods.

While players won’t be able to use any external assets to make their mods, they will be able to make use of the game’s pre-existing assets to make a mod while using the Garden of Eden Creation Kit system that is normally used for modding in Bethesda’s Fallout games.
