Gears 4 Only Supports English Dub At Launch, Nov.1 Update to Add Spanish Cinematics
Gears of War 4 will only feature English Cinematics at launch. It was believed that Spanish Cinematics will be available at launch but The Coalition decided to add it later on with an update.
The news came straight from Lidia Pitzalis of Microsoft. She explained that the studio plans to add Spanish Cinematics/Dubbing with an update which is not the day one patch.
The update in question will release on November 1. Not much else is known about the update other than it brings new dubbings to Gears of War 4.
Gears of War 4 will release on October 11 with a day-one patch that is 11GB. The update will only be required for the retail copy of Gears 4. Meanwhile, those who download it digitally won’t need a day-one update.
On a related subject, we recently spoke with The Coalition and got to know that Gears 4 is optimized for Project Scorpio. It will not need any additional updates to run at a higher resolution on Scorpio.
Gears of War 4 was built from the ground up to be a title that can scale with the capabilities of the various platforms in the Xbox family, whether it’s Xbox One, Scorpio, or the best PC’s on the market.
Gears 4 wraps up the narrative nicely, according to The Coalition. The ending will keep fans speculating about what could happen next. Gears 4 is the start of a new chapter in the series so we will see more games in the future. Microsoft has made a huge investment in the franchise and would like it to continue for a long time.
