Assassin’s Creed Empire In-game Menu Screen Leaked, Hints The Game To Be Set In Egypt
2016 marks the first year since Assassin’s Creed 2, in which no Assassin’s Creed game will be launched. While the game series is absent for an indefinite time, but every now and then a rumor or leak pop ups on the internet to get us excited. While it has been rumored that next game in the series will be Assassin’s Creed Empire, now a new leak has made its way to the internet.
The leak is a supposedly in-game menu screen for Assassin’s Creed Empire. Looking at the picture, you will realize that the menu follows the usual art style which is features in all Assassin’s Creed games.
While the image does not reveal anything specific, but it does features a pyramid, and previously there have been rumors that Assassin’s Creed Empire will be set in Egypt, so this might give some credibility to the rumor.
While Assassin’s Creed Empire is skipping this year, many assumed that we would see the next game in 2017. However, according to Ubisoft VP of Editorial, Tommy François, Ubisoft is going for better quality for its game, even if that means skipping Assassin’s Creed or Far Cry games for another year. So the next games for both franchises might not come in 2017.
While skipping Assassin’s Creed this year might be a good idea, as many fans has voiced their concerns that Assassin’s Creed franchise has gone stale.
According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, Assassin’s Creed Empire has the potential to take the series to another level, and they are taking all the time to make it happen.
What we saw in the development of the next [Assassin’s Creed] was that we had an opportunity to take it to another level. So we said we’ll take all the time it takes to make the experience fantastic. It was feasible because we have other games.
