Report: Nintendo NX Yearly Production Estimated at 9.5-10 Million Units Per Year
For past couple of months there has been plenty of rumors regarding Nintendo NX and it seems that Nintendo just can’t catch a break, as another report regarding Nintendo NX production has made its way to the internet.
The report comes from DigiTimes, which suggests that Nintendo is planning to manufacture 9.5-10 million units per year. The report also suggests that the trial production for Nintendo NX has been already done, and the industry insiders has revealed to the website that Foxconn is the lead manufacturer for the console.
The report also claims that Misumi Electronics, who specializes in camera modules, is involved with the production of the console too.
While Nintendo is yet to reveal the console, however, Ubisoft CEO thinks that Nintendo NX is a fantastic machine.
Recently, Ubisoft hosted an Ubisoft Event, during the presentation , he said that Nintendo NX is a “fantastic machine” and said “I think it’s a really new approach, it’s really Nintendo, coming with something new again. We love it”.
Nintendo’s last console was Wii U which was a failure in terms of sales when asked that Nintendo NX is a step back, Guillemot said that nothing can be said until the console is revealed, and also added that “Nintendo has learned from the Wii U”.
Nintendo NX is rumored to be a hybrid of a handheld and a console, and also the upcoming console will support cartridges instead of optical drives. Well recent trademark for Legend Of Zelda Breath Of the Wild suggests that indeed the console supports the cartridges.
Nintendo is yet to reveal and announce the release date for the upcoming console, but it is speculated to be released in March 2017.
