First Dark Souls 3 Ashes Of Ariandel Gameplay Footage Revealed, Is Lordvessel Returning?
While From Software has made is clear that Dark Souls 3 marks the end of the franchise, but that does not mean developers won’t be releasing DLC for the game. We already know that Ashes Of Ariandel is the first DLC to be released for the game, now developer From Software has released the first Dark Souls 3 Ashes Of Ariandel Gameplay footage.
Dark Souls 3 Ashes Of Ariandel Gameplay footage starts with player character wandering in a cold area when suddenly a spear comes right at it. Ashes Of Ariandel will introduce new enemies and spells, as shown on the video players will face off against many new types of enemies. Also the DLC will introduce new Pyromancies and weapons.
One new weapon we see is a sword wielded by the player, however, not much is known about it. Enemies now have new Pyromancies, as in the gameplay we see an enemy spitting fire.
The video then shows another new enemy type which looks like a giant knight, and one thing we know about Dark Souls games is that they are god damn difficult, so this new enemy will have you biting your lips. Also another new enemy introduced to the game is a giant fly looking creatures.
Also most interesting thing in Dark Souls 3 Ashes Of Ariandel Gameplay footage is that it seems that Lordvessel is returning to Dark Souls 3, as we see in the footage that a boss is carrying it in its hands and is brutally smashing it on the ground to damage the player.
At the end of the footage we see the first trailer for Ashes Of Ariandel and we also get a release date for the DLC which is 25 October, 2016.
