Shuhei Yoshida: PlayStation VR Will Benefit from PlayStation 4 Pro
Earlier this month Sony revealed the PlayStation 4 Pro at the PlayStation Meeting event. While Sony has received a lot of praise for its upcoming console, and developers have discussed different aspects of it including its impact on the industry. One aspect almost no one talked about is how will PlayStation VR will benefit from the upcoming console.
Speaking with Dangeki Online, President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, talked about what he thought about effect of PlayStation 4 Pro’s HDR quality and what this console will mean for virtual reality.
According to Yoshida, PlayStation VR will benefit greatly from PlayStation 4 Pro, as it will add more to the image quality and lightning quality of the VR games, which will all make the VR games more beautiful.
He also revealed his favorite PS VR titles and recommended a couple of PS VR games for the players. Yoshida recommended Idolmaster and Summer Games for Sony’s VR headset as these games give a great sense of immersion.
He further revealed that PlayStation VR Worlds and RIGS: Mechanized Combat League are his favorite games on PlayStation VR. According to him, he particularly enjoyed Ocean Descent and The London Heist. He describes it as the “perfect entertainment”.
PlayStation VR will not be the only virtual reality headset in the market when it releases next month. However, many analysts have predicted that virtual reality might not be as successful in the future, but according to Shuhei Yoshida, vitual reality is future proof and by 2020 everyone will be using it one way or another.
He also revealed that Sony sees PlayStation VR not only as a gaming platform, but the company thinks that it can be used in many ways other than gaming.
PlayStation VR will hit the store fronts on October 13, 2016 and the pre-orders for this virtual reality headset are also live.
