The Bioshock Collection is Plagued by Bugs and Problems
Bioshock Collection is available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. While the console owners will have to buy the entire collection, PC players who already own the games will get the remasters for free. While PC players are getting it for free, but they are also complaints of bugs and crashes for the Bioshock Collection on the PC.
On the steam page of Bioshock, many players are complaining that the remaster has many technical issues, and even those bugs that were patched 9 years ago have started to reappear. According to Steam user “SplaTTo” there are two-three bugs that keep on popping again and again that occur when settings are changed through the menu. The players are also complaining that even though nothing has been changed the game still crashes.
Same bugs are also being reported for the Bioshock 2 along with some missing options from the menu like the Field Of View slider. According to user “wolfinston85” the graphical quality has marginally improved. According to him., the graphics have been improved but not what was expected. Some players are also reporting problems in game’s audio and textures popping.
Ken Levine is one of the most respected developers in gaming industry. While many were speculating that Ken would go for a bigger project, but that never happened as he left the studio and went for a smaller project. Now Ken Levine has explained the reason why he stopped making Bioshock games.
I think the natural expectation was that I would go and do the next bigger and better BioShock game. And I felt, ‘I think I’ll fail if I do that. I think I’ll lose my mind, and my marriage.’ And so my solution was to quit.
