The news was announced via an upgrade on Ubisoft’s official blog. The post revealed that the game will now release in the first quarter of 2017, missing its original release of December 6.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole will now launch on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, calendar Q1 2017. The development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal.

South Park: Fractured But Whole is just one of the games that has been delayed this year. Just a few days ago, Sony delayed The Last Guardian, moving its release date to December.

A final release date has not been given to South Park but we should hear something around December.

On a related note, Ubisoft is offering The Crew for free along with its expansion packs. It is a way to boost player base and engagement for The Crew, a game that was suppose to be a massive hit for the studio.

The Crew is free for a month so you can download it right now. Once the month is over, you will need to pay to play this open world racer.

The Crew is only available for free on PC via UPlay.
