New Assassin’s Creed Movie Images Are All About Aguilar And Callum Lynch

Ubisoft is quite keen on making movies based on its game franchises. Assassin’s Creed movie will be the second attempt of the company to make a movie based on its game franchise, as Prince of Persia was the first. However, the movie is not going to be last attempt from Ubisoft has The Division movie and Splinter Cell movie will follow after Assassin’s Creed release.

Now Ubisoft has released some new images for the Assassin’s Creed movie which showcase the Michael Fassbender in the role of Aguilar, the Spanish Assassin whose memories will connect to Callum Lynch through the Animus. Check them out below.

While these images reveal nothing new, they just showcase Michael Fassbender’s Aguilar character riding a horse using a bow. However, one image showcases Callum Lynch is being held over the water, now Abstergo might be torturing him for not being complaint with their demands or it could be his training for the animus. We will know more once the movie releases in December.

While the game franchise has been popular among gamers and has been a financial success, as the franchise has surpassed 100 million units sold, but many are speculating that Assassin’s Creed Movie might not be successful financially, given that it will be releasing one week later after Star Wars Rogue One hits the theaters.

However, Ubisoft itself does not have high hopes for the movie to be financially successful, as recently the company expressed that Assassin’s Creed movie is only being made to increase the brand awareness.

It seems that Ubisoft will be getting A list actors for its movies based on its games. Micheal Fassbender is one such bankable name in Hollywood. Also The Division movie will star Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain in the lead role. Gyllenhaal will not only star in the movie but will also produce it too.

Assassin’s Creed movie is set to hit theaters on December 21, 2016, and for the Europe the movie is expected to release next year.
