Nioh Release Date Revealed, Comes Out February 9
The official Nioh release date has finally been revealed by Koei-Tecmo and Team Ninja, giving a date that we can look forward to for when the action RPG will be released. The game will be coming out on February 9 of next year, adding to a very busy February when it comes to gaming.
Nioh has rapidly earned a reputation for being punishingly difficult, possibly even more so than From Software’s Dark Souls games. The game focuses around the European man William Adams as he makes his way through a Japan plagued by bandits and demons and even comes across famous Japanese historical figures. The game has only had two demos put out but already the game has gained a very large amount of anticipation.
The game’s demos, in addition to allowing the developers to get player feedback and give players a sneak peek of how the game will go, also serves a third purpose: players that are tough enough to complete both demos will also be getting some free DLC to go along with the game when it releases.
The Nioh release date puts it at a very busy time in many gamers’ leisure time. Other anticipated games like Ubisoft’s For Honor, Square Enix’s Nier Automata, and Atlus’s Persona 5 are also coming out in February, and with Nioh’s relatively niche market of people that enjoy difficult games, it may not see much success unless it’s able to attract the Dark Souls crowd.
However, the Nier release date might also help to test your relationships, if you and your girlfriend (or boyfriend, or other) are gamers and are expressing a bit of interest in the game.
Either way, Nioh is supposed to be coming out exclusively on the Playstation 4 on February 9 of next year. If you’re looking for a challenge and will have beaten Dark Souls 3’s first DLC by that point it’s likely that Nioh will be able to scratch that itch for you.
