According to Bandai Namco, both the games will receive an update in November which will enable cross-game support. There are no other details available at the moment, but we will make sure to update once we learn anything more.

Dragonball Z: Extreme Butoden features over 100 different characters – with about 20 as playable – in one-on-one and team battle modes. One Piece: Great Pirate Colosseum is identical with 23 playable characters and 80 support characters.

So yeah, if you ever dreamt of pitting Goku against Monkey D. Fluffy or Vegeta against Nami, your dreams are on the verge of becoming a reality.

Dragonball Z: Extreme Butoden is now available worldwide and One Piece: Great Pirate Colosseum is scheduled to release on Sept. 21, 2016 in Japan for Nintendo 3DS – the European launch is yet to be confirmed.
