Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Zombies Mode To Be Very Different From Previous Attempts

Infinity Ward has shared some more details about the upcoming Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Zombies mode, titled Zombies in Spaceland. When the mode was first revealed a while ago, it raised some eyebrows as Zombies mode has traditionally been done by Treyarch for their games and it seemed like Infinity Ward was just being lazy.

Turns out that while IW might be bringing Zombies to their game, it is a wackier and comedic take instead of the usual one. Zombies in Spaceland is an 80s themed 4 player co-op mode which sends players to an amusement park filled with zombies.

Players will be able to choose from one of the four characters; the jock, rapper, nerd and valley girl. The premise of the mode is that all these characters were invited to a movie audition but they ended up being transported to a zombie filled theme park.

As previously mentioned, David Hasselhoff will be lending his talents to the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Zombies mode in the form of Spaceland DJ who will help players through their journey.

According to Infinity Ward’s senior producer Lee Ross, Zombies in Spaceland will feel like a completely different experience from the main game as well as from the other recent zombie venture from Call of Duty Black Ops 3.

Another exciting new addition to this Zombies mode is the Afterlife Arcade. Unlike previous games, if players die in Zombies in Spaceland, they will not spectate others. Instead, the dead players will enter Afterlife Arcade where they will play classic games such as Pitfall 2.

If the players can earn enough score in these arcade games, they have a chance to respawn instead of having to wait for the current Zombies in Spaceland round to end.

The mode will also feature a new and interesting loadout mechanic in the form of Fate and Fortune cards which players can equip before starting the game for various boosts.

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is expected to release on 4th November for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Those who pre order the game on consoles can take part in the beta starting on 14th October.
