ReCore System Requirements Are Odd, 16GB of Ram Needed

ReCore system requirements are out and are a little odd to look at. According to Microsoft’s official website, the game needs 16GB of RAM to run on recommended settings.

At first glance ReCore doesn’t look like a very demanding game but its RAM requirement is set on par with Quantum Break, a game that was a technical masterpiece on its own.

Other ReCore system requirements are are pretty straightforward, you will need a minimum of 2GB VRAM or 4GB recommended.

  • Memory – 8 GB
  • Video Memory – 2 GB
  • Processor – Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300
  • Graphics – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R7


  • OS – Windows 10
  • Architecture – x64, X64
  • DirectX – Version 11
  • Memory – 16 GB
  • Video Memory – 4 GB
  • Processor – Intel Core i5 45690, 3.9 GHz or AMD Equivalent
  • Graphics – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9

The game does not support DX12 and needs an i5 4th-gen to run at recommended settings. The official Microsoft website didn’t mention which AMD GPU to use. ReCore system requirements looks to be incomplete so we may see changes made in the future.

ReCore is releasing on Xbox One and Windows 10 later this month. It is a Windows 10 exclusive so we should see DX12 support added later on.

ReCore is releasing as part of Xbox Play Anywhere program which allows you to cross buy the game for Xbox One and Windows 10. Other game releasing under the same program are:
