Pokemon Go Buddy System Confirmed By Niantic, Will Release Soon

Earlier this week we reported that a data miner found Buddy System in the Pokemon Go’s game files. Now, developer Niantic Labs has confirmed Pokemon Go Buddy System.

In a blog post, developer Niantic Labs confirmed this feature but did not shard any specifics about the system. Players will be able to choose a Pokemon from their collection to become their buddy.

You will be able to pick your favorite Pokemon from your collection to become your buddy, opening up unique in-game rewards and experiences. Buddy Pokemon will appear alongside your Trainer avatar on your profile screen, adding helpful bonuses such as awarding Candy for walking together. You’ll also have the ability to change your Buddy Pokemon at any time.

Niantic did not specify when Pokemon Go Buddy system will go live, but did teased that the release for this feature is just around the corner.

Niantic not only confirmed Pokemon Go Buddy System but also revealed that a lot more updates for the game are coming this fall.

In other news, French Education Minister, Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, has shared her thoughts for Pokemon Go, According to the minister she does not want any rare Pokemon spawning at schools.

She also said that she will set up a meeting with Pokemon Go developer, Niantic Labs, to ask of their corporation in the matter.

While Pokemon Go was an instant hit with mobile users and brought a tons of revenue for its developers and publishers. However, it seems that the popularity of the game is going to be short lived, according to the data from analytic firms.
