Sony CEO : PlayStation 4 Has Sold 40 Million Units, Continues To Push Boundaries
Recently Sony hosted its opening presentation for at the IFA 2016 consumer electronic trade show in Berlin. Where Sony CEO, Kaz Hirai, made the opening speech in which he talked about the future of PlayStation VR and revealed how much PlayStation 4 Units have been sold.
According to Hirai, PlayStation 4 is continuing to push boundaries, the the PlayStation platform services have been widely praised buy the consumers.
PlayStation 4 continues to push the boundaries, while reaching new heights in innovation and entertainment. The PlayStation Platform, including hardware, software and network services has been widely acclaimed by costumers, industry and of course the press.
He also revealed that PlayStation 4 has sold 40 million units till May of 2016, and continuing its position as the fastest selling console in the history.
He also said that once PlayStation VR launches next month, this will enable them to leverage technological strength in different fields such as digital imaging.
Virtual reality launches us into a new realm that promises limitless possibilities starting with games, but expanding soon across our entire Sony group. VR will enable us to leverage our technological strength in areas such as digital imaging, content creation and production. So Sony is well position to set the trends in how, where and when you access content today, and also in the future.
In other news, Sony has announced that the company will be attending the Tokyo Game Show 2016, and also revealed its lineup of games for the event. The lineup includes Resident Evil 7, Final Fantasy XV, Yakuza 6, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo Sport, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and much more.
Sony has also revealed PlayStation Move controllers for PlayStation VR. The VR games can really benefit from PlayStation Move controller. Playing with Move can be more immersive compared to a Dual Shock 4 controller.
PlayStation VR will hit storefront on October 13,2016, and pre-orders for the virtual reality headset are also live.
