Quantum Break Delayed Due To Delay In Production Of Timeless Collector’s Edition
Previously Microsoft announced that Quantum Break is coming to Steam on September 14, 2016. However, the game has been delayed to due some, and now it is will release on Steam in late September.
THQNORDIC announced that Quantum Break has been delayed to September 29, 2016 due to a delay in in production of the game’s “Timeless Collector’s Edition”.
Due to additional time required for mastering and manufacturing the Quantum Break – Timeless Collector’s Edition for retail, the decision has been made to move the release to September 29th. This concerns both, the Steam version, as well as the retail edition.
Quantum Break Timeless Collector’s Edition will be available for EUR/USD 39.99 and includes:
- Premium packaging
- 5 Game Discs (onetime Steam key validation required)
- Making Of Blu-ray
- Making Of Book (where an Art Book meets a Making-Of)
- 1 Soundtrack CD (Audio-CD)
- 2 A3 Poster (one double-sided print)
- Quickstart Guide
In related news, developer Remedy Entertainment is known for making excellent games, and also for using songs of Poets of the Fall in their games. However, Remedy Entertainment also had a song for Quantum Break from Poets of the Fall, but they decided not to include it.
Previously, Quantum Break was an exclusive to Windows store on PC, and since the game made use of the new Directx 12 the game was only playable on Windows 10. However, majority of the gamers refused to upgrade to Windows 10. Now the game is coming to steam, and will not be exclusive to Windows 10, as the game will support DirectX 11.
