Livelock Hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC

By   /   Sep 1, 2016

Perfect World Entertainment’s Livelock is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The top down shooter is Perfect World’s first pay to play game.

Livelock is set in the distant future when mankind’s survival relies on machines. Following a catastrophic gamma ray burst that wipes humanity out, Rogue Clusters (mechanized army) has taken over the world. An intense war between the machines will decide the future of humanity.

Livelock transports players into the 22nd century, the age of the machine. Nearly a century after the cataclysm, humanity is on the brink of survival. Clusters – groups of corrupted machines control what remains of the earth, fighting each other in an infinite war over resources that now threatens the very planet itself.

Players take control of a Capital Intellect, a human consciousness uploaded to large mechanical body. Armed with a unique arsenal of weapons and special abilities, the Capital Intellect must fight the corrupted machine Clusters and break the cycle of an infinite war, before humanity is forgotten in the annals of history.

Storyline for the campaign was co-created by Robocalypse author Daniel H. Wilson. Livelock features 3 playable robots – Hex, Vanguard, Catalyst. Each comes with its own unique skill set and personality.

Livelock is a very tactical top-down shooter which requires actual effort and teamwork to complete. You can go solo but Livelock is best enjoyed with friends in coop.

The game is available on PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Steam for $19.99.
