PlayStation 4 Neo and Project Scorpio Are Good for the Industry: Peter Moore
Sony and Microsoft are bringing their 4K machines to the market within the next year. All major publishers are working on 4K games for PlayStation 4 and Project Scorpio.
The industry looks to be onboard with the idea of a new type of console cycle. FIFA creator EA recently spoke about these new machines and said that the studio is working on many different projects. Moreover, both PlayStation 4 Neo and Project Scorpio are great for the industry, said Peter Moore.
Speaking to IGN, Pete Moore stated:
I think Sony and Microsoft have done this incredibly well. They have taken what they needed to do whether it’s 4K… to keep the platform fresh for technology that’s moving faster than the archaic nature of a 10-year piece of hardware cycle.
Peter Moore believes that this certainly will refresh console cycles. There is “certainly obviously ups the technological output,” and EA’s development studios “love what they’re seeing right now.”
PlayStation 4 Neo and Project Scorpio both support 4K gaming in their own ways. Microsoft announced the new system at E3 2016 while Sony will share details at the upcoming PlayStation Experience.
PlayStation Experience is being held in New York on September 7 where Sony will not only show PlayStation 4 Neo, but we are expecting to see PlayStation Vita Trinity.
Meanwhile, PlayStation 4 Slim is already leaked ahead of its PlayStation Meeting reveal. As for Microsoft and its Project Scorpio, the company may hold off on the showing until next year.
