Battlefield 1 Open Beta Appears on Xbox Live at 6.2GB

Battlefield 1 open beta will start on August 31 but its client is already listed on Xbox Live. No such listing is available on PlayStation Store or Origin at the time of this writing.

The client can not be downloaded on Xbox One for now but it does reveal its install size. Battlefield 1 Open beta client clocks in at 6.2 GB.

Battlefield 1 open beta will be held across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. As mentioned above, it will start on August 31 but so far an end date has not been announced.

Battlefield 1 is releasing on October 21 for consoles PC.

Pre orders are live and if you are willing to spend a extra money, you can grab the Premium Pass. It will include early access to new multiplayer maps. According to EA DICE, it will cost $49.99/£39.99.

Items such as dog tags, weapons etc will start dropping from November 2016.

Get ready for new Operations and game modes, new Elite classes, weapons, vehicles, and more. The Battlefield 1 Premium Pass includes 16 new multiplayer maps, 20 new weapons, 14 unique dog tags, and 14 Battlefield 1 Battlepacks containing stand-out weapon skins. Each Battlepack is delivered monthly, starting November 2016

Battlefield 1 is releasing almost in the same week as another major EA shooter, Titanfall 2. Some may consider this a bad idea but EA thinks it will strengthen its position in the shooter genre.
