Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on PS4 Beats Xbox One in Terms of Resolution
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Once again we are seeing PlayStation 4 performing better compared to Xbox One in terms of resolution.
Both version are locked at 30fps with adaptive v-sync but unfortunately they see some frame drops. Developer Eidos Montreal may improve frame rate performance with post release patches.
Digital Foundry did an in-depth analysis of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It was revealed that PlayStation 4 runs at a native 1080p resolution, with Xbox One opting for sub-HD at 900p.
This is just another game that fails to reach 108op 60FPS on both platforms. It looks like both Sony and Microsoft didn’t give much thought to final specs of their consoles.
Hopefully, their next console will do a much better job.
Sony and Microsoft are working on PlayStation 4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio. Both platform can output 4K gaming but on their own way. While Project Scorpio claims 4K Native gaming is possible, PlayStation 4 Neo is believed to be upscaling 1080p to 4K.
PlayStation Meeting will bring more news regarding PlayStation 4 Neo while Microsoft is expected to wait till E3 2017 to show Project Scorpio.
