Platinum Games has revealed how long will take to complete the main story campaign and side quests of NieR Automata.

Speaking with Dualshockers, NieR Automata Producer Yosuke Saito revealed the amount of required to complete the game. According to Yosuke, in previous interviews he answered the same question that it would take 25 hours to complete the game.

However, when he told this to the development team back in Japan, they said no it will take longer than that to complete the game.

He also revealed that players would not require to complete the whole game along with side quests in order to see the ending. But he also noted that there are multiple endings for NieR Automata, so those who want to see the true ending depending on their choices will certainly have to complete all side quests.

He further added that there are short side quests in the game, which require players to find an item or similar simple objectives. Also there will be longer side quests too which might span to several chapters in order to tell a deep and unique story.

Yosuke Saito also revealed that the Resistance Camp that has been showcased so far is not the only settlement in the game, and there will be more settlements revealed in the future.

NieR Automata is a role playing playing game in development at Platinum Games, and will be published by Square Enix for PC and PlayStation 4. The game is set in the same world as NieR, which is itself a spin-off of the Drakengard series.
