Update: It looks like EB Games has removed the listing from its online store. There is no Nintendo NX version available while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One listings are as is.

We still don’t know whether it was a mistake or someone accidently leaked NX announcement early.

Original Story: Kingdom Hearts 3 has been under development for a long time for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, with the imminent release of Nintendo NX the maker may just score a massive third party title.

It looks like Square Enix and Nintendo may have formed a partnership. Kingdom Hearts 3 has been listed for Nintendo NX at EB Games Australia. This could very well be a mistake but as we know, Nintendo has been actively engaging third party developers to bring games to NX.

We are trying to contact Nintendo and Square Enix is hopes of a comment and will let you know if anything comes up. However, it is unlikely that they will confirm or deny anything at this point.

There are still no final release plans for Kingdom Hearts 3 but we recently reported that Square Enix plans to release it around March 2017. Interestingly, Nintendo NX is hitting shelves in March, 2017 as well. Is it at all possible that it could be a launch title for NX? We certainly can’t rule it out at this stage.

Other Square Enix games that are expected around March are Nier and Final Fantasy 7 remake.

Nintendo is pushing for third party support and wants to expose its hardware to a wider audience. The company lost support from big name publishers due to Wii U but NX is getting a lot of love.
