No Man’s Sky – Increasing FOV

Since the game is played in first-person perspective, the field of view is an important setting on PC. By default, the maximum FOV is 100, but you can increase it to 150 by tweaking the game files a little. In order to being, head over to the directory:

Steam\steamapps\common\No Man’s Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS

Once you are there, you need to find TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML and edit it using Notepad. After opening up the file, you need to find these two values and change 100 into 150 or whatever you desire – we recommend 150.

After that, simply save the file and make sure it is read-only in the Properties.

No Man’s Sky – Changing the Mouse Sensitivity

In order to change your mouse sensitivity, you need to head over to the directory:

Steam\steamapps\common\No Man’s Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS

Once you are there, you need to find TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML and edit it using Notepad. After opening up the file, you need to find these two values and change the values to whatever you desire.

You can change it to -45 or whatever you are comfortable with!

No Man’s Sky Stutter – How to Fix

Those of you who are experiencing in-game stutter need to open up the NVIDIA Control Panel and disable Shader Cache. This method will allow you to gain significant FPS increase in the game, especially while entering/exiting a starship and open-world. Moreover, this method is not only for NVIDIA users, but also for AMD ones.

In order to do this on AMD, you need to open up Radeon Settings and disable Shader Cache. Alternatively, you can head over to the following directory:

Steam\steamapps\common\No Man’s Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS

Once you are there, you need to find TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML and edit it using Notepad. After opening up the file, you will see that Gsync is set as True by default, you will need to set it as False and re-run the game after saving the file.

No Man’s Sky FPS Drop Fix

This is a simple yet highly efficient fix for No Man’s Sky players who are suffering from random FPS drops. In order to fix the issue, all that you need to do is to disable Vsync while the game is not running. This can be done from the game’s TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS. To do so, you need to head over to the directory mentioned earlier, find Vsync, disable it, save the file, and re-run the game.

This is all we have on No Man’s Sky PC Tweaks Guide. We will continue to add more tweaks in coming days. Meanwhile, if you have anything to add, let us know in the comments section below!
