New Splinter Cell title

Long time fans of the Splinter Cell franchise were not particularly happy with Splinter Cell: Blacklist for changing the voice actor for Sam Fisher. However, it looks like Ubisoft has heard your feedback as a new Splinter Cell title is in development and Michael Ironside is returning to voice Sam Fisher.

The report comes from a reliable source near a NeoGaf user Crossing Eden. The source claims that he/she has not been involved with other Ubisoft titles but was surprised that the new Splinter Cell title was not revealed at E3.

Regarding other games, I haven’t been involved with Steep or Wildlands, but I was surprised Splinter Cell didn’t appear at E3.

The source further claims that Michael Ironside is back, he/she met him and his daughter during a movie shoot. The source says he knew someone on the set and Ironside confirmed to him that he was doing the new Splinter Cell Title.

I know Ironside is back. He was in the studio, I said Hi to him and his daughter. He was shooting a movie with Amy Jo Johnson, and I know someone who worked on that set and Ironside confirmed to him he was doing the new Splinter Cell. I know Toronto has the mocap studio for it.I’m hoping to hear or see something unofficial, if not official, this year, but its been hard to get anything beyond “It’s Happening”

The last game in the Splinter Cell franchise was Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Even though the game was critically acclaimed but the fans were concerned about replacing Michael Ironside.
