Final Fantasy XV Season Pass To Include At least 6 DLCs, Development Hasn’t Started Yet

In this age, no AAA title is complete without a season pass which is exactly why there is already a Final Fantasy XV season pass announcement. Not a lot is known about the DLCs included in the season pass besides Square Enix’s claim that these DLCs do not contain cut content from the base game and instead will feature meaningful new material.

To further solidify their claim, Square Enix has also declared that the development on the DLCs has not started yet. So if they are indeed to be meaningful DLCs will a lot of content, judging by the 10 years the game has been in development, it might be a couple of months before season pass owners get to experience the first DLC.

This is really important, because we want everyone to know who buys FFXV and plays that he gets a complete FFXV experience. The FFXV DLCs are new and unique experience for the FFXV universe

The season pass is confirmed to contain a total of 6 DLC packs, some of which are gear and item packs while the others are narrative based, focusing on each of Noctis’ travel companions as well as an Expansion Pack to create a ‘new way to play’ the game.

The full list of known DLCs to be included in the season pass is listed below with their tentative titles:

  • DLC 1 – Booster Pack: Will help you acquire powerful weapons to use in battle.
  • DLC 2 – Episode Gladiolus: An original episode that focuses on Noctis’ friend Gladiolus. The episode makes him a playable character, allowing you to control Gladiolus.
  • DLC 3 – Episode Holiday Pack: Includes a splendid item pack to make your game more gorgeous.
  • DLC 4 – Episode Ignis: An original episode that focuses on Noctis’ friend Ignis. The episode makes him a playable character, allowing you to control Ignis.
  • DLC 5 – Episode Prompto: An original episode that focuses on Noctis’ friend Prompto. The episode makes him a playable character, allowing you to control Prompto.
  • Expansion Pack: An expansion pack that makes it possible to enjoy a completely new way to play Final Fantasy XV.

The Final Fantasy XV season pass is included in the Digital Premium Edition of the game and can also be purchased separately for $25. The game itself is scheduled to launch on 30th September for PS4 and Xbox One.
