Yakuza 6 Will Conclude The Story Of Kazuma Kiryu, Story Will Be A “Deep Human Drama”
Yakuza is one of the most popular PlayStation exclusive franchises and with Yakuza 6 nearing its release, fans are getting restless. Now Nagoshi-sans has given some insight about the game and its story.
Speaking with Famitsu, Sega CCO, Nagoshi-sans, said that Yakuza 6 will sum up the story of Kazuma Kiryu. The interview was translated by a fan who simply referred to themselves as ‘Chelsea’.
The final chapter in the legend of Kazuma Kiryu’ is a huge theme within (Yakuza 6). This was another big influence on my decision to make this game a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Since this is a large juncture in the story of Kazuma Kiryu, I wanted it to have more beautiful graphics and the ultimate quality to set the stage for it.

He further discussed the graphical capabilities of the game and even said that in some scenes players will mistake it for a live action.
We initially embarked on the challenge of reproducing real life faces on the PlayStation 3, and our skills as creators has increased year by year. We can finally bring this to completion on the PlayStation 4. Actually, there are some scenes where the graphics are so good that you would mistake it for a live action.
He further discussed that for Yakuza 6 he wanted to create a deep story that would have a meaning in Japan’s history.
I wanted to create something that was a deep human drama, and also to set it somewhere with meaning in Japan’s history. With this in mind I considered places all across the country, and thought that Hiroshima’s Onomichi would be good.
Yakuza 6 is being developed and published by Sega, and the game is scheduled to release on December 6th, 2016 in Japan exclusively for PlayStation 4. English version of he game has not been announced yet, however, english version of Yakuza 0 is scheduled to release in January 2017.
