Pokemon Sun and Moon Alola Forms Will Change Classic Pokemon Entirely
As promised last month, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have revealed a ton of new features and details regarding the upcoming games Pokemon Sun and Moon.
Pokemon Sun and Moon Alola Forms
The developers have confirmed that the upcoming games will introduce the idea of regional variants of different Pokemon species. Being called as Alola Forms, Pokemon in Sun and Moon will adapt to the climate of the islands of the new Alola region.
For instance, Vulpix and Exeggutor will look totally different in their Alola Forms – as evident from the image attached above! However, the Alola Forms is not restricted to the physical appearance only.
According to Game Freak, the Alola Forms will cause a Pokemon to change its type. If we take the example of Vulpix and its evolutionary form Ninetails, they become Ice-Type in Alola Form instead of usual Fire-Type. It is also possible that these Pokemon will get new moves, but we are not sure at the moment.
There are a lot of other details and information shared in the trailer attached below:
The game’s producer Junichi Masuda also recently explained why the Alola region is based on Hawaii. According to Masuda, Hawaii has the most varied environments as compared to the rest of America and is full of energy, life-force which is why it is a perfect fit for Pokemon Sun and Moon. You can read up more on the interview by heading over to the post!
In addition to this, we also received a few of screenshots recently that provide a good look at the game’s UI, gym battles, and more. To find out more, head over to the post!
Pokemon Sun and Moon is slated to release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18, 2016. The company has also announced a Limited Edition 3DS XL based on the titles which is now up for pre-orders.
