Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Double XP Weekend Starts Tomorrow

Black Ops 3 Double XP

A new Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Double XP weekend will be starting tomorrow, stretching from July 29 to August 1. The event is being done to celebrate the Fracture playlist being moved from the Bonus playlist to the Core playlist, making it part of the core areas of the game’s multiplayer.

The Fracture game mode revolves around players killing one another in order to collect various data fragments, which have to be deposited at the Fracture data site for points. The game mode was implemented into the game shortly after the Descent DLC pack came out a few weeks ago.

Since the game will be given the Black Ops 3 Double XP treatment, you can use that XP to go up a few levels, getting new weapons, gear, and perks as you do so. If you’ve been wanting to Prestige, you can probably make use of that weekend to get the first few levels out of the way and get all of the perks again.

If you’re nowhere near being able to prestige, you can at least use the double XP in order to unlock some new stuff, and then use all of those new unlocks to hopefully go up a level or two, or even get up to being able to do prestige, if you’re good enough.

The new Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Double XP weekend starts at 10 AM tomorrow and ends at 10 AM on August 1. It’ll only be available on the Fracture playlist, however, so if you decide that you don’t like the game mode and want to go play something else, you won’t be able to get into the double XP weekend, so if you don’t like the mode you’ll probably need to just grin and bear it.

In the meantime, you should probably get ready if you want to be good when the weekend rolls around.
