Infinity Ward Discuss Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Weapons and Vehicles
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare developer Infinity Ward shared a video discussing the game’s weapons and vehicles. Different classes of vehicles will be included in the game such as carriers and fighters. However, they are discussing them as if most of them are driveable which is a little odd.
So far, we only know about The Jackal which is confirmed to be a driveable fighter jet. Meanwhile, Retribution will act as central hub in space similar to the one we had in Mass Effect. The developers also discussed “Raven” that will carry you and your team to ground based missions.
None of these vehicles (except The Jackal) is driveable so making a video to define these classes doesn’t make sense as they won’t be used in actual combat, they are on rails.
Now let’s discuss things we’ll actually be using during combat.
Infinity Ward is bringing the largest cast of weapons in Infinite Warfare. Lots of details and attention has gone into Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare weapons. We are moving into the future and weapons must highlight that while being believable.
Infinite Warfare weapons will be relatable yet they are trying to push things into the future. COD isn’t Star Wars (yet) so don’t expect laser beams. Some weapons may change modes such as an energy based Sniper rifle turning into an assault weapon.
We saw an example of this in the recently released Black Sky gameplay video. Ballistic weapons can be used in space and we can expect a variety of different explosives. Check out the video above for more details.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will release in November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC.
