Colossal Monsters and Crazy Aerial Combat Make Up the New Final Fantasy XV Universe Trailer

During the Playstation media brief at ChinaJoy 2016, SE’s Hajima Tabata took to the showfloor to reveal a new Final Fantasy XV Universe trailer.

Apart from focusing on new gameplay mechanics, the new trailer expands upon the movie, anime series, and mini-game. The video footage – attached above – is in Chinese due to local audience, but a few glimpses of Final Fantasy XV are totally worth it.

Final Fantasy XV Universe Trailer

One of the things I noticed right off the bat is aerial combat. From the looks of it, it looks the camera is now better optimized for aerial combat and the mechanics are looking much more promising than before. As evident in the trailer, you will be able to see Noctis fighting while he warps from one place to the other.

You will also get a good look at the colossal Adamantoise and plenty of other creatures. Suffice to say that Square Enix has successfully managed to include quite a lot of details in this neat little trailer. On top of it, the background score complements everything perfectly.

Final Fantasy XV is scheduled to release on Sept. 30, 2016 for Microsoft Xbox One and Sony Playstation 4. Debunking the rumors of a Nintendo NX port, Square Enix confirmed that there are no other ports of the upcoming game. I am personally rooting for a PC release, but who knows!
