Civilization VI France First Look Trailer Introduces Catherine de’ Medici
Firaxis has revealed another Civilization VI ‘First Look’ trailer; this time focusing on France and confirming that Catherine de’ Medici will lead France in the game.

The most powerful European Queen of the 16TH century, Catherine de’ Medici was known for her statesmanship, diplomacy, and military prowess. She was wed to King Henry II of France and served as Queen from 1547 until her husband’s death in 1559.
Born an Italian noblewoman, Catherine de’ Medici was wed to King Henry II of France and served as Queen from 1547 until her husband’s death in 1559. Her influence would extend beyond this brief period as Queen, however, as she went on to bear three sons who would each become King of France during her lifetime.
Civilization VI France’s special ability is known as Grand Tour which provides bonus for constructing mid-game wonders as well as extra tourism from all the constructed wonders.
Coming to unique French units, the Guard Imperial receive bonus for fighting on the starting capitals home continent and also general points from eliminations. Last but not the least, France also receives the Chateau as a unique tile enhancement when placed near a river and bonuses for being placed near wonders.
