“Everything Happens for a Reason” is a Concept Naughty Dog is Exploring for its Next Game

Naughty Dog is working on a new game and the concept may revolve around the idea that "everything happens for a reason," According to Druckmann.

Naughty Dog just released Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, a critically acclaimed game that has numerous awards. Naughty Dog fans are now eagerly waiting for its next game. A new masterpiece from this Sony owned Studio.

We don’t know which game the studio is working on but it is speculated to be The Last of Us 2. Of course, it could very well turn out to be a new IP.

Whatever it may be we know that Neil Druckmann will be at the helm of it. He was recently interview by GameSpot where he possibly teased the theme and concept of his next game.

Naughty Dog’s next game may revolve around the idea that “everything happens for a reason.”

But that’s interesting and it’s interesting in that I think about the story I’m working on right now; [that theme is] definitely there. I think a lot of times because I think about myself or other human beings and what are the events that have shaped us? What are kind of the choices that have defined who we are and have led us to this place? I think it’s also tied to human nature or human choice versus destiny.

Having grown up not in a very religious home, but where religion was a big part of it, and this concept that everything happens for a reason. Even when horrible things happen, like in our family or to friends, you would hear this statement: ‘everything happens for a reason. I’m just wrestling with that concept; is that true? Or is it just totally random. And never quite coming to a good answer and maybe that’s why I just keep exploring those concepts

The game is still a long way from reveal and is probably in early stages of development. For now, enjoy Uncharted 4 and wait for its single player DLC to release sometime next year.
