Sonic 4 Backward Compatibility for Xbox One Expected To Launch Today
For Xbox One users, Sonic 4 backward compatibility might be happening real soon. According to one Xbox insider, Ekim, Microsoft is adding 8 new games to their backward compatibility program on Xbox One.
This Sonic 4 backward compatibility means big things for Sega games on Xbox One as both episodes of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 received generally favorable reviews and were some of the favorite titles of Sonic fans.
The games even went ahead and spawned iOS and Android ports as well after their initial Xbox 360 (as well as other platforms) release in 2010.
Ekim shared the names of other titles, which are set to be available today, on the backwards compatibility list. They include Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Crystal Defenders and Pacman Museum among others.
Since there is no official word from Microsoft as of yet so this piece of information should be considered a rumor, however Ekim has a good track record. He has broken various other Xbox related stories in the past.
Almost all of these turned out to be true like the recent July’s Games with Gold lineup and Microsoft’s plan to launch custom designed Gears of War Xbox One S, costing $500 and available on 7th October.
Not only does the console look amazing but the whole bundle is also amazing value for the price. It includes the custom designed Xbox One S console and controller as well as Ultimate Edition of Gears of War 4 (playable on both Windows 10 and Xbox One through Play Anywhere program) and the game’s Season Pass.
Xbox’s Games with Gold titles for July are rumored to include The Banner Saga 2 and Tumblestone for Xbox One while Xbox 360 owners will get Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Tron: Evolution.
For Rocket League fans, cross play between PS4 and Xbox One might soon be becoming a reality as well, provided Sony agrees to it.
