PlayStation VR Cinematic Mode Allows You to Play Any Normal PS4 Games

PlayStation VR cinematic mode release date

PlayStation VR cinematic mode is a wonderful feature. It allows users to experience normal PlayStation 4 games on PlayStation VR. Over at PlayStation Japan, Sony used Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End to demonstrate PlayStation VR cinematic mode.

PlayStation VR cinematic mode features three different screen sizes. We have small, medium and large. The large screen is over 200 inches so it would feel like being inside a movie theater. Sony had a hard time fitting the entire screen properly in the player’s field of view.

However, after making some changes and adjustment they are successful with its implementation.  By default you will be using the medium screen and although small may not sound very useful, it does have its own perk. Small size screen follows your glaze so you can lie down while playing.

You will experience a screen door effect in small size but the issue will improve as display resolutions enhance. The good news, however, is that you won’t need a Tv to operate PlayStation VR. All you need is a PS4 and PSVR and you are good to go.

Use the cinematic mode to play games on your PlayStation 4.

PlayStation VR is coming out in October and is going to use PlayStation Camera to run. Plenty of major franchises will be available for it. Expect to see Battlefront VR, Batman Arkham VR, Final Fantasy XV, Resident Evil 7 and more.
