Pokemon Go Pokemon Locations on Google Maps, Find All Nearby Pokemon
A developer has created a project that allows Pokemon Go players to view all nearby Pokemon on Google Maps.
As noted in a dedicated sub-reddit; the project essentially pulls out raw data of the game including the locations of gyms, PokeStops, and Pokemon locations.
Pokemon Go Google Map
Since it is not an app like Poke Radar we reported earlier this week, there is a little technical procedure in getting it all set up and running. If you are interested, you can follow the step-by-step instructions to get you started!
Once done, you will see a bird’s eye view of Google Maps which will pinpoint the locations of all nearby Pokemon, PokeStops, and gyms. There is also a filter that lets players see what they desire i.e. Mewtwo.
Speaking with Verge; Almutawa said that he had a lot of fun after working on the project, but did not have time to capture some rare Pokemon. Almutawa also stated that since Pokemon Go is Niantic’s property, they are free to do whatever they want – even if it means restricting information access.
It is Niantic’s game and they’re free to do with it whatever they do. I do hope that they’re fine with the map itself [and] it’s not causing them any issues.
Almutawa has also promised to continue work on the map along with some other developers to make it more accessible to people who are not very tech-savvy.
Pokemon Go is now available on iOS and Android based devices.
